Everything Victims Ask Before Filing a Claim

Straight answers about how SARFund verifies cases, why details stay redacted, and what happens after you submit evidence.

Is SARFund a recovery company?+

No. SARFund is an independent case registry and claim coordination platform. We do not custody funds, move funds, or pursue civil action ourselves. We index reported scam brokers, verify victim claims, and connect verified victims to the recovery partner already handling their case.

Why is the recovery partner name redacted?+

To protect the integrity of ongoing investigations and to verify the identity of legitimate claimants before sharing partner details. Once your claim is submitted and verified, we connect you privately with the partner working on your case.

Does SARFund charge any fees?+

No. Submitting a claim and searching the database are free of charge. Any fee structure between you and the assigned recovery partner is negotiated directly with that partner — SARFund does not collect a share of recovered funds.

How does SARFund know my broker is a scam?+

Each case file is built from multiple sources: direct victim submissions, Google complaints, Reddit threads, Quora discussions, Facebook group reports, and pattern-matching against known scam clusters. A case is only published once we have at least three independent reports.

What evidence should I submit with a claim?+

Transaction hashes or screenshots, the wallet addresses involved, conversation history with the broker (Telegram / WhatsApp / email), the platform URL, deposit amounts and dates, and any KYC documents you provided to the broker.

How long does verification take?+

Most claims are matched to an existing case file within 48 hours. Complex multi-wallet or cross-chain submissions can take up to 7 business days while we coordinate with the partner handling the case.

Can I get my money back through SARFund?+

SARFund does not guarantee recovery. We coordinate verified claims with the partner who is actively pursuing the case. Outcomes depend entirely on the partner's investigation, the broker's asset trail, and the legal jurisdiction involved.

What happens after I submit a claim?+

You receive a case reference, your evidence is matched to an existing case (or a new case is opened), the assigned recovery partner is notified, and you receive a private connection to that partner if your claim qualifies. Status updates flow through your case reference.

Can I report a broker that is not in your database?+

Yes. Submit your evidence and the broker name on the Submit Claim page. If three or more independent reports come in for that broker, we open a new case file and add it to the public database.

Is my data shared publicly?+

No. Personal details (name, email, transaction hashes, KYC documents) stay private. Only the broker name and aggregate case statistics appear on the public registry. Wallet addresses are hashed before any database matching.

Why are statistics on each case file masked?+

Victim counts, traced wallet figures, recovered totals, and partner identities remain redacted on the public site. Sharing exact numbers can compromise active investigations and tip off perpetrators.

How current is the case database?+

New cases are added weekly. Existing case files are reviewed monthly, and disbursement totals on the Recovered Funds Ledger update on the first of every month.

What chains do you support?+

Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Tron (USDT-TRC20), and ERC20 stablecoins. Cross-chain bridges and lesser-known L1s are handled case by case.

I think the broker is still operating — what should I do?+

Submit your evidence anyway. Active brokers are a higher priority for partner intervention because asset traces are fresher and counterparty identification is still possible.

Can I withdraw a claim after submitting?+

Yes. Email the case reference number you received and we will mark the claim withdrawn within one business day. Submitted evidence is destroyed unless retention is required by the partner for an active investigation.
